A species restricted to northern Balkans and southern and eastern Romania (Getic-Moesic element).The range of the species in Romania is disjunct, with a well known area in Teleorman, Dolj and Mehedinti counties and some more recently discovered localities in the forest-steppe of Moldavia in Galati, Vaslui and Iasi counties.
